Who?
The company is owned by two individuals.
A Scottish expat known as “Heimantou”, who has lived in China for over 10 years and has achieved Chinese green card status. Before relocating to China, he worked as an area manager for a major video game and technology retailer in the UK. Since moving to China, he has developed personal relationships with numerous companies whose products are featured on this site. This is not his primary company; he already owns two thriving enterprises in China.
The second is a Chinese national who has, in the past, lived and studied in the United Kingdom. She has had a brick-and-mortar boutique in Shanghai for numerous years. She was one of the first legally licensed Kayou sellers and also holds licenses with Pokémon and M&G stationery. Her store is stocked with popular and unique items from a variety of producers.
Together they bring to the table experience, resources, contacts & no language barrier on the ground here in China.
Our Story
Around 2022, Heimantou introduced his 4-year-old daughter to 1980s nostalgia. Through the eighties, cartoons and physical media such as Kayou cards. He never had to deal with counterfeit products, since he always shopped at licensed retailers, like his partner’s boutique. His daughter & He built one of the most complete Chinese My Little Pony card collections.
In July 2024, he started a YouTube channel to discuss the cards because there was a significant shortage of knowledge on these Chinese products. Due to the language barrier and the global problem of counterfeit cards, he tried his best to educate individuals interested in the hobby.
However, since 2025, a large number of individuals worldwide have discovered these cards, and rogues have taken advantage of the situation. Even card grading companies cannot be trusted to authenticate these Chinese cards. After months of witnessing Western fans of My Little Pony being hurt by rogue merchants, he intervened. He met with Kayou in their Shanghai HQ, and both parties agreed to create a trustworthy solution till their stores open in the West.
